Finished order

Assalamalikum, so I finally finished my first order alhamdulillah.. the Allah in English and the wedding duaa in black stitching.. alhamdulillah it turned out quite well, insha'allah she likes it, values it in years to come and says a little duaa for me when she looks at the both. So now im onto my next order.. for the shahada man, I have the fabric which is actually quite big so I can see this is going to take awhile. I also need to start and finish the names for the 99names of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) Im doing as the round robin on my yahoo group. The girl who is stitching them all together goes back to England in june so I have to have them there before she goes back to Algeria insha'allah, then I realised the other day that i didnt know where the pattern was that my friend sent me... and she reformatted her computer the other day and cant find her PCstitch cd... Allahu alim

Finished half an order

  • Mood:
Assalamalikum, so Ive just finished the English Allah for a friend, its half of her order.. she also wants the arabic wedding duaa which I did start on this week. As I know that doesnt take long to do I was determined to finish this one for her little girl this weekend, alhamdulillah I just did. I added my initials and the date so it can be remembered in years to come insha'allah, wherever the little one is. I wont be adding this to my web page as for now.. it took me far too long to concentrate on one pattern, but the picture is here so in the future if anyone stumbles across it, then I will be happy to stitch it for them insha'allah in no less than 4 colours  I used 3 colours in this one but it would have been much quicker with 4, Allahu alim... so now I know for next time insha'allah.

Finished

  • Mood:

Assalamalikum everyone... so I finished the Muhammed (salayhu alayhi wa salam) stitching tonight, at last... and I really like it.. It took me just over 1 month, it probably could have been finished sooner if I hadnt had been doing another order at the same time. Anyways, its big and I really like it, the colours go so well together. Insha'allah I will take a picture and post it on the Muhammed page tomorrow, so keep an eye out.

JazakAllah khair for reading, Fi amenallah.

New order

Assalamalikum everyone, so I now have another order from a friend... she asked me to make her a family tree stitching for her and her immediate family in arabic. I bought the pattern off ebay alhamdulilah and received it this week, there is even a little 'duaa' underneath the tree that says God bless our family, which I thought was a nice touch. So insha'allah once Ive finished my other two I will start this one, the sister will be back in UK in june insha'allah, so gives me plenty of time to sort things out with that one. Just wanted to let you all know of the progress masha'allah.. I also added my website to the million muslim links page so insha'allah I will get somemore hits, comments, guestmap tags and orders insha'allah.

Ok, thats enough from me, fi amenallah

Update

Assalamalikum, so I promised an update on my last entry and here it is after some time which I apologise for. Insha'allah you can see them well, the first one is the Muhammed pattern I started a few weeks ago, alhamdulillah the duaa underneath (sallayhu alayhi wa salam) is finished, and Im done a few of the vowels and bits around the name in a pine green and quite abit of the name too alhamdulillah.

The next picture is an order for the name Allah (Swt) in english, its the first time Ive done this pattern and Im enjoying it.. there is enough curves and straight lines to keep me wanting to do more, usually I find if its more one than the other I get bored easily  but so far so good alhamdulillah. Ive managed to finish the outline, and I have 2 more shades of pink to fill the rest of the inside of the name.. insha'allah I will be finished with this soon.

Comments welcome. Fi amenallah, Ammena

Assalamalikum, so today I received 2 orders for some patterns, one was for the wedding duaa in Arabic the sister wants hers & hubbies names put on too insha'allah, the other is for the name Allah in english found on Joyces website. So Im looking forward to starting these, especially the Allah one as its a new pattern for me. Insha'allah it shouldnt take too long for them, I know the wedding duaa took me about 2 weeks off and on when I last did it. This sister has just bought some new things for her house so insha'allah this will set it off, shes given me some colours to play with so im looking forward to this.

As for my other patterns, Im still working through the Muhammed (saws) pattern, its coming along slowly but alhamdulillah Im really pleased with it. Insha'allah ill post a pic later on today, Ive nearly finished the wording along the bottom without the vowels. Insha'allah ill finish it soon.

Well, thats my update for now. Insha'allah ill post soon to let everyone know of the updates.

Fi amenallah, thanks for reading

Finished

  • Mood:

Alhamdulillah I have finished the 'he is Allah (swt)' pattern, and Im quite surprised at how quickly it took me, I posted that i would start it.... WOW Im even more shocked now that i look at dates, alhamdulillah it took me 1 week to start and complete it. Thats pretty good, this Muhammed (saws) pattern on the other hand is pretty massive andI didnt realise, so I think I will start another Muhammed pattern and do the big one in the background. Although I would like to get through the main name and underneath it says salalayhu alayhi wa salam which I think it pretty good.. so once I could move away from the name, I would easily do the duaa (black) then I could do the little fancy lines and stuff around his name (pine green) and then finish the name. All in good time I suppose

Please, if anyone has any suggestions of patterns to start on, comment here and tell me what you thnk, insha'allah I will look into it. Thinking about it, there is that house duaa on Sallys site... well Ill let ya know.

Thanks for 'listening' Fi amenallah, Ammena

Muhammed (saws)

Salam, so i started the Muhammed stitching... on off white Aida and im using the whole thing so its going to be pretty big, which im excited about. Ive started in a pale green and i have another dark green and some writing underneath the name which i will do in black. Insha'allah it will look good once i start to get some curves to it.. upto now its just a few green straight lines ok... back to the stitching, ive sorted out the missing stitch and now im onto the 2nd line of 3 for the border and ive decided where im sending it too. So i have to get it finished soon insha'allah.

Well, jazakAllah khair for reading my blogs... if u do, i dunno, noone answers  Fi amenallah

So nearly done

Assalamalikum everyone, so Im nearly finished my 'he is Allah (swt)' pattern.. im on the border, but i just figured something out, I missed a stitch near the beginning of one line so now i got to go back and unstitch which im not pleased with. I was doing so well, and was pleased with the timing, so instead of unpicking it now, Ive decided to finish what I can then unpick, that way Im not wasting time unpick and resewing when there is still quite abit of border left.

I bought some new fabric off ebay yesterday, some antique white for a current round robin im involved in (see yahoo group link, or Sallys website on islamic & arabic cross stitch site) erm..... some peach, pink and victoria red... so im looking forward to receiving that soon.

After my carfuful with the missing stitch i thought to start a new project too, and after looking on my pages, Ive decided to start a Muhammed (saws) pattern, so i picked up the black Aida, but there isnt enough there... so Im just looking for bits of material now, then i got sidetracked and decided to write about this. So now, Ive come to the decision that i will use this blog not just for order updates, but for updates on my work full stop insha'allah

Well, best get back to looking for the Aida. Fi amenallah
